This exquisite raised embroidery tangka of Manjushri Bodhisattva is meticulously crafted following the ancient Tibetan technique of silk appliqué, a tradition preserved for over a millennium. Each delicate section is fashioned from premium mulberry silk and naturally dyed satin, hand-cut and layered by master artisans. Through the “raised embroidery” method, the deity’s robes, sword, lotus throne, and sutra scroll emerge with a lifelike, sculpted depth. Gilded threads trace the flames of wisdom, while fine accents of lapis lazuli adorn the sacred ornaments. Where the sword points, prajna shines forth; where the sutra rests, sublime wisdom flows.
